Application on median and central reserves

According to the latest regulation, containment level H2 is required for the application of vehicle restraint systems on central reserves of dual lane highways. In areas with a high danger of accidents even containment level H4b has to be applied. The system SUPER-RAIL® fulfils the above mentioned requirements and is therefore an optimal solution for both constellations.

The Application
The vehicle restraint system SUPER-RAIL® Dual is installed on central reserves and composes of two SUPER-RAIL® standard systems.

The System
The SUPER-RAIL® system being very well established for a long time fulfils all criteria which are required for the installation on central reserves. In comparison to normal vehicle restraint system SUPER-RAIL® requires very little repair because of its solid design. In case of a car crash, normally only the beam and the deformation elements need to be exchanged. As we know from experience its function persists after small damages since the posts and the box beam profiles remain undamaged.
The repair costs of SUPER-RAIL® amount to only 20-30 % of the repair costs of a normal system e.g. of double distance guard rail. Due to short and easy fixing, traffic disruptions during repair times can be reduced to a minimum.
