SAFETY-RAIL® was tested between 1994 - 1996 by the German Road Research Institute 'BASt' and by 'ETH', the Technical University of Zurich, Switzerland.
The impact tests TB 11 and TB 51 according to EN 1317-2 were passed successfully.
The test results were described as 'good'.
The impacting vehicles (car and bus) are contained and redirected by SAFETY-RAIL® within the required criteria for energy absorption.
The flexibility of the system and the integrated deformation elements are essential for the tolerable reduction of the impact energy.

SAFETY-RAIL® achieves a controlled redirection of the impacting vehicles with an extremely low lateral deflection. The deceleration of the impacted energy is within tolerable limits for the passengers.
The damages after a crash are usually only minor and can be fixed economically in terms of labour and cost. The impacting vehicles show only minor damages.
